Me, a "thinking blogger"?

Will you look at that-- I've just been given a Thinking Blogger Award! Unexpected, perhaps undeserved, but there it is-- thanks to Brian, at Primordial Blog. Now, according to the rules, I have to nominate five bloggers whose postings make me think. Let's see, there are so many....

Here are my choices:

Bitch Ph.D.

Confessions of a Community College Dean

Boston 1775

History Is Elementary

Clio Bluestocking Tales

There they are: Five blogs that I find not only interesting but insightful and thought-provoking.

Congratulations, folks. You're my Thinking Bloggers!

Congrats and muchas gracias!

I make you think? Wow, I'm quite honored. What a nice Valentine!

Congradulations; and thank you! (Of course, you don't mention what the blogs make you think about.)

Wait a minute! Does this mean that the five you listed are now "tagged"? That we are "it"? Now we tag five? Sheesh, didn't know there was actual work invovled with the honor!

Seriously, thank you again. Plus, I've always wanted to be "It."

et-- Thanks for stopping by! (He's a neighbor of mine, folks, just down the road in Marietta.)

dean dad, elementary history teacher-- y'all are great, keep up the good work!

clio bluestocking-- Did I forget to say that? "Tag, you're it." :-)

And to answer your first (implied) question: The five blogs offer different perspectives on history or the academic life, always with a very human perspective (which reminds me that there's more to life than history/academic life).

I thought I'd trace the genealogy of my own award and found that you're my abavus or whatever.

It seems that someone else had the same idea - funny where these things end up.
